Hyperlipidemia; coagulation disorders; problems using amino acids; acute shock; uncontrolled hyperglycaemia; high serum levels of electrolytes; acute pulmonary oedema; hyperhydration; untreated heart failure; hemophagocytic syndrome; unstable condition eg, after serious trauma, uncontrolled diabetes, acute heart attack, stroke, blood clot, metabolic acidosis, severe sepsis, coma, hypotonic dehydration. Serious liver disease. Serious kidney disease w/o access to dialysis.
